Mental Health @ Work Module 2 Kick-off Event

Mental Health @ Work Module 2 Event

Wisconsin United for Mental Health and the Monona Chamber of Commerce are holding a free informational seminar for businesses, managers, supervisors, and HR professionals addressing mental health at work, and how to support the mental health of your employees.

Date: Wednesday, October 26, 2011

Location: East Side Club
3735 Monona Dr.
Madison, WI 53714

Time: 8:00 – 10:00 am

The program is free and a continental breakfast will be provided.

Attendees will learn how to:
  • Promote mental health in the workplace.
  • Recognize when there may be a mental health issue with an employee.
  • Address employees who are showing performance and emotional or mental health issues.
  • Locate resources, finding assistance, and offering “suggested” reasonable accommodations for employees.
  • Assist an employee to create a plan for success at work

2012 Champion in Women’s Health awards


Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation LogoIt’s that time of year to request nominations for our 2012 Champion in Women’s Health awards.

As a reminder, the Champion in Women’s Health award honors individuals who have demonstrated exemplary leadership and devoted themselves to improving the quality of life for Wisconsin women and their families. Nominated by their peers, candidates may include consumer advocates, volunteers, health care professionals, non-profit employees, or individuals who have overcome a significant health issue and inspired other women to become advocates for their own health.

Award recipients will be honored at a private luncheon before the Spring Gala event and will be recognized during the Spring Gala.

To nominate someone, please complete the application, attach all supporting materials discusses in the letter and return to Nancy Henderson at nhenderson@wwhf.org. Also, please pass this information on to any colleagues and friends you feel may want to nominate individuals.
