The Disability Rights Wisconsin is the designated protection and advocacy agency for persons with disabilities in Wisconsin. DRW provides direct advocacy assistance for individuals on a variety of legal issues related to their disability as well as engaging in systems reform activities, training and consultation.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is a grassroots orginization that works to improve the quality of life of people affected by mental illnesses and promote recovery through education, advocacy and support initiatives. NAMI Wisconsin is the state office that works on statewide policy, funding and education and supports 35 local Wisconsin affiliates.

A web site to help eliminate stigma through self-empowerment and illuminating recovery. Through brief, sharable video accounts on the site, Rogers InHealth offers stories of real people living with mental illness and what they found to be important in their recovery.


Wisconsin Council on Mental Health
The Wisconsin Council on Mental Health, a legislatively mandated mental health planning council, serves to evaluate and review the mental health system's progress towards achieving improved client outcomes and the adequacy of mental health services in the state. The 20-25 member board, appointed by the Governor, consists of at least 50% consumers or family members. Other members represent state agencies, mental health providers, and other organizations or groups.

Wisconsin Family Ties (WFT) is a statewide, nonprofit organization run by families for families that include children and adolescents with social, emotional or behavioral challenges.

The Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation is a non-profit agency based in Madison but serving women statewide through outreach and education programs about women's health issues. The six core health issues addressed by the WWHF are breast cancer, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, domestic violence, tobacco addiction, and mental illness.
